muscles & home makeover and misc stuff
After getting 10 hours of sleep last night, I'm up at 6:00 am. (day light savings time, it's the fall back today) It's fast Sunday and I don't know what to do with myself. I guess I'll find something to blog about.
Some of my kids are struggling with LDS church principals. I worry about them. I can help with some but others they have to find out on their own. I wish that recognizing the Holy Ghost as little children had been more of a priority to me, to teach them. We did some as a family but I guess it wasn't enough. We weren't perfect in our scripture study or FHE or family prayer but I thought we did ok. I through in journal writing a few times too.
I did something to hurt my right back muscles. I felt some heat in one spot on my back, by my shoulder blade. My nurse practitioner sent me to massage therapy, which killed me. I didn't know my entire back hurt, I was surprised. Still in a lot of pain and the muscle relaxers don't help much. Laying on my back is the one thing that doesn't hurt. Having my mind and body busy on other things seems to distract me from the pain a bit.
We took some friends out to a Brazilian Grill Friday night. I ate way to much. It was fun though. We later took them to Seattle Center, they'd never been there.
Dale and I went to Home Depot last night and bought every thing we need to; get rid of our popcorn ceiling, paint the LR, DR, hallway, entry way and 2 bathrooms, new faucet for our master bathroom, new slider and other misc. stuff. (Oh, one of the other misc. stuff is wood for a quilting ironing board cover. I'm pretty excited for that one. It is20"x60" and will to on top of a regular ironing board but cover a larger area making it easier to iron squares of fabric/quilts) We have all the stuff in Glenn's bedroom now. We hope to have all the projects done by Christmas. I'd like it all to be done before Glenn gets home on Dec. 14. But if not, he can help with what ever still needs to be done.
We have ordered new flooring and new drapes too. I'll post before and after pictures (someday)
I have been working at Elections but not getting very many hours in. I like having a place to go most mornings. I get up at 6:00 am and leave for work by 7:00. This time most days I only work two and half hours. People are just not turning in their ballots. They were expecting a 50% return of registered voters but have only received about 25%. Sad.
I finished the Book of Mormon this week, again.
Well blogging this took a half an hour, now what do I do? I'll most likely go read scriptures and a nursery lesson.
