Cleaned Out
I just finished cleaning out my email inbox. I had 10 pages since Sept. Why did I think so many things had to be saved or "deal with later"? I created one new file and deleted most of the others.

2 more sleeps
2 more sleeps until I visit Jamie for a week!
I’m trying to get my house in order so it can stay in order while I’m gone. I bought eggs for coloring but I won’t be able to do them this year. I am not doing any new Easter clothes for anyone?! This is what happens when Easter is in March.
Jamie’s birthday was on Easter once when she was little! That was a BIG day. I made a beautiful dark blue dress with a puffy skirt for her and a matching dark blue suit for me. We have pictures of us out on my parent’s front porch. I love them! (Except my frizzy ‘80’s” big hair, although it was a gorgeous red). Her Easter basket had NO candy but fresh strawberries. That was back when I use to try to be a healthy mom.
The night before I stayed up late finishing the hand hem and had a friend frost the (pyramid shaped) cake. It was not so pretty. He said he wasn’t very good at it and I didn’t think anyone could be that bad, but it was.
I’m excited to see Jamie! My youngest child is home from school today and going through old pictures. She has an Activity Day while I’m gone and needs several family photos. I don’t look at pix, ever. There was one of Jamie at her Elementary graduation. I loved that dress on her. That was a tough year for her. People can be so mean to each other. There is a pix of her cake with her photo on it. I really should get those in photo albums.
While down in UT, I am planning on visiting my old Mia Maid advisor. I haven’t seen her for a few decades. Most of the time I’ll be on campus or hanging out at her apartment. I am excited to not know what to do with myself. But right now I have plenty todo todo todo.

Osmonds
“DONNY!” I still have a Tiger Beat with his picture. I was in love with Donny, David Cassidy, Bobby Sherman (who the heck was that?) and Tony DeFranco (he’s Canadian). I was at the mall in a Kitchen Shop a few months ago and heard the song “Heart Beat is a Love Beat” by the DeFranco Family. I almost fainted. I just had to tell the cashier what that song meant to me!
My hubby saw “DONNY!” perform at the Hill Cumorah Pageant several years ago and got his autograph for me. He knew I would like it. My hubby has no idea I would flip like I did. He is a kind and patient man, while his eyes roll around while my stupid mouth openly drools at a signature. The flip side was a photo of actor’s portraying Christ with Nephi children around his knee. Those are more common place, right? But this was ‘DONNY!”.
So I watched most of the PBS program “Osmond’s 50 year Reunion” and watched all of the “Oprah & the Osmonds”. Oprah had much better audio quality. I enjoyed it much more. It was fun for me to see grown women (like myself) swoon like they did at these performances. I was trying to remember the song I wrote for HIM. Oh, it’s coming back to me now. I don’t think I’ll share how pathetic I was/am.
I wouldn’t flip like that today for Bono. Or would I?

Allergies
My nose hurts. My lungs take much labor after going up the stairs. I am awake in the middle of the night just to blow my nose over and over.
My kids let me sleep in this morning. I got out of bed at 10. It’s almost noon and I only have 1 load of laundry done.
It’s going to be a rough week!

Journals
I went to my favorite blogs and checked out some of their links. I was surprised. I enjoyed many of them. Some, not so much. They are used more for private connecting with family, which is a great resource.
I like to write, sometimes. Since starting blogging I have a new since of guilt with not writing in my journal. For many years I “puke on paper”, if I am upset I write out my feelings to better understand myself and give voice to what should never be said.
My paternal grandma has a “sanitized” version of her journals. I want to read the other version. I knew her after she matured and was a “saint”. I connect better with imperfection and can gain insight. Probably why I love to read biographies. I never finished the one on Mother Teresa, I could not connect with perfection. I think this bugs me even today.
Blogs are more casual and not seeking perfection. Just the opposite. I love to read the mishaps and the thinking of people I respect.
I have a drawer full of barely used notebooks with my “puke”. I grab what is close by, mostly undated and not in any order. I am too scared to go look at them. I only keep them because of how I feel about Grandma’s journals. My “real” journals are in there too. I have only used 3 my whole life. Starting with the one Shelly gave me at my 16 birthday party. Then the one “Mama Lou” gave me when I was a single mom. The current one is a simple comp book everyone got for FHE last year.
“Should they stay or should they go”?-almost quoting “The Clash”

NO Time
I have way too much to do (catching up from a family virus) to spend time reading blogs etc.
I had help from a couple of sick kids and got ALL my personal filling done! WOW!
Now I just need to get to the pile of papers to mail, fill out, calendar etc.
