Quilted Milestones

This is the 3 one of these quilted wall hangings I have finished. I am getting better and learning with each one. There are over 5,000 pieces to this one. Just like life there are lots of mistakes but overall is very nice. I mailed this to the newlyweds Wed.

"Wicked" the play

I've been waiting for the pictures from "Wicked" to post.
Here we are with the mechanical OZ.

Here we are with the actor who plays OZ.

We got to tour the historic Paramount backstage with all the "Wicked" props, that was fun. The best part was all of the costumes! OMG'ish! I like to sew some but sheesh! The detail and enormity of it all was impressive.
My son and I had a fun night with just the 2 of us. We had looked around a lot for an emerald green tie for him to wear with his black shirt and pants. We had dinner at Cheesecake Factory. We both could not eat all of our meals, but tried. I'm proud of him winning the contest. It was a good night!

He Won!!

My oldest son wrote an essay for a contest and Won! He won 2 tickets and backstage passes as well as some token prizes for "Wicked"!! How cool is that? I am so happy for him! I am so proud of his writing. His essay was creative, interesting and with a nice voice.

This is the second major prize our family has won in the past year. Why is our family so lucky? No, not lucky, another miracle or "tender mercy" from our Father. WOW! and Why?

Now who gets the other ticket? mom?
