I was in the KR High School councilor's office waiting for my appointment when the morning announcements came on. When they started reciting the pledge of allegiance, I saw one young man get up without hesitation and look at the flag and start reciting it. Everyone (about 14 of us) in the office followed, and we all said the pledge of allegiance together. When it was over, I heard another young man state to his friend, "In Renton no one would have have said that." I felt lucky to have witnessed that first young mans integrity and since of pride.
I love living here!
